Our annual used book sale is our major fundraiser! Last spring 2015, we raised just over $12,000. All these funds directly support our efforts to improve adult literacy in Oakville.
We're done! We're still rubbing our sore feet, but we wanted to post a quick "thank you" to all who made this event possible.
Thanks to the volunteers who collected, sorted, stacked, boxed, moved, assisted shoppers and did what ever needed doing!

WHY DO WE HOLD A USED BOOK SALE?
The money we raise supports our adult literacy program. Our trained volunteer tutors work one-on-one with local adults to help them improve their reading, writing, and math skills. Some learners are seeking skills for further independence, while others are trying to upgrade for better employment or educational opportunities.
In 2015, we sold $12,400 worth of used books at our sale, thanks to the generosity of people like you.

Unfortunately we don't have year-round storage, so we only collect books in the spring.
